Privacy Policy

Effective July 31, 2026

The short version: your check-ins stay on your device. BearingPulse does not collect, transmit, sell, or share your personal data.

What the app stores

BearingPulse saves your compass check-ins — the position of each mark, the time you saved it, and any optional note you write — locally on your device only. This data never leaves your phone. Deleting a check-in, clearing your history, or uninstalling the app permanently removes it.

What we collect

Nothing. The app makes no network requests, requires no account, and contains no analytics, advertising, or tracking of any kind.

This website

bearingpulse.com is a static site served via Cloudflare, which may process standard technical logs (such as IP addresses) to deliver and protect the site. We set no cookies and run no analytics scripts.

Future team features

We are exploring an optional feature for organizations that would let individuals choose to share their compass patterns with their leadership — identified or anonymous, off by default, and revocable at any time. If and when this ships, it will require creating an account, this policy will be updated first, and nothing will ever be shared without your explicit opt-in.

Children's privacy

BearingPulse is intended for working adults and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

Changes to this policy

If our practices change, we will update this page and its effective date before the change takes effect.
